Jim Mallard

President

Jim Mallard is a crime analysis manager, educator, and public safety leader specializing in crime analysis, data governance, and automation. He began his career with the Gainesville (FL) Police Department and later built and led analytical programs for law enforcement agencies in Florida and Texas, including supervisory and executive analytical roles. Today, he serves as Crime Analysis Division Manager for the Houston (TX) Police Department. Jim is a past President of the International Association of Crime Analysts and has trained analysts throughout the United States and internationally while helping develop professional training and analytical best practices for the field. He holds degrees from the University of Texas at Arlington and the University of Florida.

Amanda K. Bruner

Treasurer

Amanda K. Bruner is a crime analyst, educator, and public safety professional specializing in crime analysis, intelligence analysis, and analytical program development. She began her career as the first Crime Analyst for the Matthews (NC) Police Department and later supported law enforcement agencies nationwide through federal public safety initiatives. Today, she works in the public safety technology sector and serves as an adjunct instructor for multiple universities. Amanda is a former President of the Carolinas Crime Analysis Association and recipient of the 2024 IALEIA Individual Award for Excellence. She holds degrees in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement Intelligence and Analysis from Michigan State University.

Kassie Langdon

Secretary

Kassie Langdon is a crime analyst and public safety professional specializing in crime analysis, criminal intelligence, and open-source intelligence. She began her career as a patrol officer and later served in investigations and intelligence roles before becoming the first Crime Analyst for the Holly Springs (NC) Police Department. She leads initiatives focused on intelligence integration, data-driven policing, and public safety technology. Kassie has presented nationally on crime analysis, OSINT, and analytical innovation and has received international recognition for her contributions to the profession. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Ethical Leadership.
